DESCRIPTION
The Caterpillar 314E LCR excavator was engineered to be compact and incredibly productive for any earthmoving, trench digging, material handling, or demolition project. This 14-tonne excavator has become the most sought after rental in its category because it’s one of the industry’s most versatile heavy equipment rentals. The 314E is the largest common excavator with a blade, built 8′ 10″ in width. Along with our guaranteed lowest excavator rental rates, you can get your earthmoving, basement excavation, or demolition job done quickly and professionally by hiring an operator from Rent1. If you require a more compact excavator for a residential or lawn and garden job, view our wide selection of mini-excavator models.
With a maximum digging depth of 19′ 6″ and maximum digging reach of 28’6” the CAT® 314E LCR hydraulic excavator can reach deep into basement excavation sites to help you complete your project. Included in our rental fleet is a fully loaded CAT® 314E LCR excavator with 2 buckets (24″ dig & 54″ clean up), blade 8′ 10″ width, cab guarding and roll-over protection, thumb, rear view camera, and a 9′ 10″ stick. Other excavator attachment are available at your request. Operators will enjoy the incredibly quiet and comfortable cab, which also features automatic climate control, an air suspension seat, stereo, and a high-resolution LCD monitor.
Power: The Caterpillar 314E LCR has an operating weight of 14,800kg (32,600lb.). A maximum drawbar pull of 113kN (25,400 lbf.) delivers exceptional power for backfilling trenches, loading sand and gravel into dump trucks, or clearing out construction equipment and debris. With a over-front lift capacity of 4,550kg (10,150lb.), the 314E LCR hydraulic excavator is a high performance earthmoving, demolition, and material handling machine.
Efficiency: Increase productivity with a reach boom for all-around versatility, and a power offset boom allowing the vehicle to stay in the same position to load and dump. The machine was built to meet today’s European Union Stage IIIB emission standards; its fuel burn rate of only 8 litres per hour (better than many mini excavators on the heavy equipment rental market).
Visibility: A high-resolution LCD monitor gives operators better visibility of what’s going on around them, providing more safety when operating heavy construction equipment on a busy commercial earthmoving site.
Versatile: With multiple attachment options including heavy duty buckets, ditch cleaning buckets, and hammer attachments, the Caterpillar 314E LCR mini excavator can be used in a variety of situations in construction and lawn and garden projects.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q. How much time until my Caterpillar 314E LCR rental is delivered?
It depends on where your job site is. In most cases, we can deliver any machine throughout the lower mainland on the same day or next day. If your project site happens to be further into the interior of BC, or on one of the islands near Vancouver, we can provide you with an estimate for when your delivery should arrive.
Q. What should I do when I receive my rental?
As soon as your rental is delivered, we recommend taking photos of the exterior and cab for your records. Check out our tutorial video on how to take these photos before you start operating your equipment.
Q. What size of excavator do I need to complete a demolition project?
Demolition projects need high-powered machines. For small demolition projects such as garages or tool sheds, we recommend renting at least a 6-tonne excavator like the John Deere 60G. If you have a large-scale demolition project such a house or apartment, you’ll need a 20-tonne excavator or better, such as the Komatsu PC200 LC-8.
We provide quick delivery on all skid steer loader rentals, excavator rentals, compact excavator and mini excavator rentals, and compact track loader rentals throughout the Lower Mainland of Greater Vancouver. See our delivery rates and our daily, weekly, and monthly rental rates for more details.
